Privacy Policy

Who we are
OnePlace is a digital marketplace where you can buy gift cards, game credit and mobile airtime top-ups. It is available as an Android app on Google Play and as a website at oneplace-platform.com.
OnePlace is operated by MZ-Technology. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean MZ-Technology.
If you have any question about this policy or about your data, email us at [email protected].
What this policy covers
This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the OnePlace app or website, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what choices you have.
It applies to the OnePlace Android app and to oneplace-platform.com.
It does not cover the practices of companies we do not control. When you use a gift card or voucher you bought from us, your use of that product is governed by the issuing brand's own privacy policy, not ours.
Information we collect
3.1 Information you give us
Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address and phone number. We also generate an account identifier for you.
Authentication information. We store your password in encrypted form. We never store it as readable text.
Order information. When you place an order we record what you bought, the amount, the currency, the date and a transaction reference.
Recipient information. When you top up a phone that is not your own, you give us the recipient's phone number. We use it only to deliver that top-up. We do not use it for marketing and we do not build a profile from it.
Support information. If you contact us, we keep the messages you send and our replies.
3.2 Information about your transactions
We keep a record of your completed orders so you can see them under My Orders in the app, and so that we can support you, handle disputes and meet our accounting obligations.
3.3 Information collected automatically
Device identifiers. We collect identifiers associated with your device and app installation, including a push notification token. We need this to deliver your codes and order updates to the right device.
IP address. We record the IP address your requests come from. We use it for security and to detect fraudulent activity. We do not use it to determine your location.
3.4 App performance information
If the app crashes, we receive a crash report and basic diagnostic information about how the app is performing. We use this only to find and fix problems. This is handled through Google Firebase.
Information we do not collect
We never see or store your card details.
Payments on OnePlace are handled by Stripe, Paystack and Safaricom M-PESA. When you pay, your card number, CVV and PIN are entered directly into the payment provider's own secure interface, or on your own phone in the case of M-PESA. That information goes to the payment provider, not to us. It never touches our systems and we could not retrieve it if we wanted to.
We do not receive your fingerprint or face data.
If you turn on fingerprint or face login, that check happens entirely on your own device using Android's built-in security system. Your device simply tells the app whether the check passed. Your biometric data never leaves your phone and is never sent to us.
We do not track how you browse the app.
We do not collect analytics on which screens you visit, what you tap, or what you search for inside the app.
We do not collect your location.
Prices are shown in the currency of the country registered to your account. We do not use GPS and we do not use your IP address to work out where you are.
How we use your information
| What we use it for | What this means |
|---|---|
| Providing the service | Creating your account, showing you products, processing your order, delivering your code |
| Delivering notifications | Sending you a push notification when your code is ready or your order status changes |
| Customer support | Answering your questions and resolving problems with an order |
| Security and fraud prevention | Detecting suspicious activity, protecting your account, and protecting us from fraudulent transactions |
| Legal and accounting | Keeping records we are required to keep, and defending disputed payments |
| Improving the app | Understanding why the app crashed so we can fix it |
We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertising networks.
Who we share your information with
We share only what is necessary, and only in these situations.
Payment providers. Stripe, Paystack and Safaricom M-PESA process payments on our behalf. They receive the information they need to take payment and to guard against fraud. Each has its own privacy policy governing what it does with that information.
Digital goods distribution partners. To deliver your order, we pass the necessary details to the partner who supplies the product — for a top-up, this includes the phone number being topped up and the amount. They receive only what is required to fulfil the order.
Technology providers. We use Google Firebase for push notification delivery and crash reporting, and cloud hosting providers to run our service. These providers process data on our instructions.
When the law requires it. We may disclose information if we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to investigate fraud or protect the safety of our users.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, for any purpose.
Where your information is processed
OnePlace is an international service. The providers we use to process payments, deliver products and host our systems operate in a number of countries, so your information may be processed outside the country you live in.
Wherever it is processed, it is protected by the same terms set out in this policy, and we work only with providers who apply recognised security standards.
How long we keep your information
While your account is open, we keep your account information for as long as you continue to use OnePlace.
If you delete your account, we permanently delete your account information within 30 days. This includes your name, email address, phone number, account identifier, saved payment card references, device identifiers, order history, unredeemed codes and support conversations.
Transaction records are kept for 5 years. After your account is deleted, we keep a limited record of each completed transaction: the date, the amount, the product and the transaction reference. We keep these because we are required to for accounting and tax purposes, and in order to investigate fraudulent or disputed payments. These records are stored separately from your account, are not used to contact you, and are not used to build any profile of you.
Crash and diagnostic data that is no longer linked to an account is kept for up to 90 days.
Payment providers keep their own records. Stripe, Paystack and Safaricom M-PESA retain transaction records under their own policies and legal obligations, independently of us. Deleting your OnePlace account does not delete records held by a payment provider.
Your choices and your rights
You can:
- See your information — your profile and full order history are in the app under Account and My Orders
- Correct your information — update your profile in the app, or email us
- Turn off notifications — in the app under Account → Notifications, or in your phone's system settings
- Turn off fingerprint or face login — in the app under Account
- Delete your account — see section 10
- Ask us a question or make a complaint — email [email protected]
We respond to requests about your data within 30 days.
Deleting your account
You can delete your OnePlace account and the data associated with it at any time.
From the app: open OnePlace, go to the Account tab, tap Delete Account, and confirm with your password.
Without the app: email [email protected] from the email address registered to your account, with the subject line Account Deletion Request.
Full instructions, including what is deleted and what is kept, are at oneplace-platform.com/delete-account.
Please note that deletion is permanent, that any orders still in progress must complete first, and that unredeemed codes will be lost.
How we protect your information
- All data sent between the app and our systems is encrypted in transit using industry-standard encryption
- Passwords are stored in encrypted form and are never readable by us
- Card details never reach our systems at all
- Access to personal information is limited to those who need it to operate the service
No system can be guaranteed completely secure. You also play a part: keep your password private, do not reuse it on other services, and do not share codes you have purchased with anyone you do not trust. Treat a gift card code like cash — once someone else has it, it can be redeemed.
If we ever become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will inform you and take the steps required of us.
Children
OnePlace is not for children. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to create an account and make purchases.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has created an account, email [email protected] and we will close it and delete the data.
Our website
The OnePlace website is an information and download page. It does not sell anything and does not require you to create an account.
We use only the cookies necessary for the site to function, such as remembering your language and theme preference. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not track you across other websites.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes or as legal requirements change. The date at the top always shows when it was last updated.
If we make a significant change to how we handle your personal information, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
